Radiodump

What?

First, my apologies for the poor web design. Currently I'm spending my spare time coding the application rather than designing nice web pages around it. Likely this will remain the spirit of the application -- ugly but functional...

Radiodump is a tool written in Perl, using the Tk GUI toolkit. Being a front-end to mplayer, it allows you to record any internet audio stream that mplayer can decode. The stream is recorded in chunks of defined length. These chunks can be compressed to MP3, written to a CD and hosted as a Podcast.

Why?

Living abroad, I'm using radiodump to record my favourite radio station and burn the recordings to a CD-RW, ready to be played back in my car while commuting.

When?

I'm currently coding it. Actually I have a cli-version running since years, but I'm now into converting it to Tk for ease of use. First versions are publicly available now

History
